 I made this bolero back in February or March. It is such a simple garment to make, and looks great with so many outfits! :)

sleeve detail--I made a sort of pleat and used a button to keep it together

I used Newlook 6935. I fell in love with the bolero as soon as I saw the pattern! The only alteration that I ended up making to this pattern was that I made the sleeves longer, and then added little buttons to the sleeves to reduce the gaping at my wrists.

This little garment has made me fall in love with boleros and shrugs! I love them. :D Definitely planning on making more.

Simplicity 1882

My yellow dress . . . although it's not really yellow, is it? :) I guess I call it yellow because it is practically the only garment I own that has yellow in it.

I used Simplicity 1882 to make this dress. The fabric is a really soft, slightly stretchy cotton. I love it! I had no problems with this dress other than assembling the yoke incorrectly the first time. (I guess that's what instructions are for, huh? ;)
